Yoyogi Park

代代木公園
我喜歡周末的代代木公園,能隨處看到日本人盡情解放日常被壓抑的真性情。東京都擁有超過二千七百多個公園,當中位於原宿的代代木公園總面積超過五十四萬平方米,於1964年成為東京奧運會選手村後,經歷三年時間改建而成。作為孕育原宿文化的代表場所,特別是在八、九十年代有許多音樂愛好者於周末聚集表演,可惜隨著原宿文化的沒落,代代木公園似乎失去了昔日的神采。

At the weekend, I love to go to Yoyogi Park, where I can see Japanese letting go completely of their usually suppressed emotions. Tokyo Prefecture boasts more than 2,700 parks, including Yoyogi Park in Harajuku, which boasts a size of more than 540,000 m². In 1964, the space was used as the Olympic athletes’ village for the Tokyo Olympic Games in 1964, and was later reconstructed over the span of three years. As a signature spot for nurturing Harajuku culture, the park witnessed a large number of music enthusiasts gathering there at weekend to perform, notably during the 80s and 90s. Unfortunately, following the demise of Harajuku culture, Yoyogi Park seems to have lost its charm back in the olden days.

looking at the photos and reading articles. Each word and sentence conjures up images. An enthusiast of Japanese culture, I would like to leave a record of my own memories of the Heisei Era before the new one begins.
