從品牌名字「Standard Supply」讀去，可能會誤為是一個軍事風的品牌，然而點進網站一看，居然是有老有少一起背著包袋，樂也融融的畫面，令人立刻洞悉到品牌的定位。
Standard Supply成立於2006年，基地位於東京都世田谷區，商品以背包、托特包和皮夾等小包為主，顧名思義地，款式強調通用性和實用性，並符合著每天使用、日常使用的生活情景。而雖然說因為款式基本，外觀上沒有太多可以著墨的地方，不過從實際使用經驗看來，你會發現Standard Supply推出的包袋，功能上都相當充實，設計都有著從表現不易看出的巧思。

Established in 2006, Setagaya-based Standard Supply specialises in backpacks, tote bags and wallets. True to its moniker, its style emphasises universality and functionality for everyday occasions. Where Standard Supply is humble in appearance, it stuns in utility and discreet hacks.
在品牌海量的商品中，我最喜歡這個Mil Cloth系列的「Commute Daypack」，而雖然寫說是單日包，但總體22L的容量，拿去短途旅行也無不可。背包的大容量自是優點，然而間隔才是使人留有深刻印象的重點，打開主艙最裡層是電腦包，可以置放15寸筆電，也能置放需要帶出門的A4文件夾，並附有扣具穩定載物，讓重要的電腦和文件可以穩妥安放。
主艙兩側附帶水瓶、雨傘的收納位置，可以與包袋外兩側的收納位置互換，端看使用者個人習慣，不過最理想的用法可能是，用過後的雨傘，以及其他濕漉漉的物件放外側，主艙只用來收乾爽的物品。至於前面小包的部分，雖然是常見的背包設計，但品牌還是有在基礎上強化，像設有兩個窄口小袋，可以放手電和薄身的筆記小本，同時也附有可拉伸的鑰匙圈，非常精準地計算每個收納空間的可能性，並帶來讓消費者從心欽佩的使用方法。而雖然一直在介紹的是「Commute Daypack」這個背包，然而這種設計思路，卻可以從其他托特包和皮夾等商品中找到，是貫穿整個型錄設計的品牌哲學。
My favourite is the Commute Daypack from the Mil Cloth series, which is actually ideal for short trips. Lightweight with surprising capacity and plenty of pockets, the do-it-all daybag can fit a 15” laptop, or an A4 folder – stowed securely with its built-in clips.
The internal side pockets offer extra discreet storage options for water bottles and umbrellas. These can be swapped with the external side pockets, though it’s recommended to keep the internal pockets dry and store used umbrella in the external pockets only. The front pocket comes with an elastic hook and two tucked pockets, providing quick and secure access to phones, notebooks, keys and the like. Compact yet calculated, herein lies the philosophy of the Commute Daypack, which also underpins Standard Supply’s entire collection of tote bags and wallets.
